Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Environmental Services Staff is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of the casino facilities .

Primary Tasks:

1. Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.

2. Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms or work areas; moving or lifting objects to do so.

3. Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, Casino floor, and other work, storage, and customer areas including metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner.

4. Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.

5. Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork.

6. Clean biohazard material

7. Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.

8. Expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.

9. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

• Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience in the hospitality industry preferred

• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)

• Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance

• General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry

• Understand government public health regulations

DURANT, Okla. (Sept. 4, 2020) – Seeking an escape? Visitors to southeastern Oklahoma will have an opportunity to explore their wild side when The Link at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant debuts Labor Day weekend.

Designed as an immersive art installation, The Link at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant is a new feature attraction that serves as both a stand-alone destination as well as a bridge between the resort’s two large gaming floors. Located adjacent to Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen + Bar, The Link serves as the resort’s digital response to other well-known gaming industry art installations.

Conceptualized as a “living” attraction, The Link installation follows the hours of the day, changing from both day to night, as well as the changing seasons. The Link features a setting of other-worldly flora and fauna that offer a fantastical version of true-to-life woodland creatures. Inhabitants of The Link casually come and go from the glen, drawing viewers into their digital world. Animal appearances as well as delightful displays arise unexpectedly throughout the day and night, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder, waiting to see more.
